I've seen them there most times of the year. I would avoid August though because that month it's all about the goliath groupers mating.

the peak time is January-Feb. However, we hit a number of sites that have large lemon shark populations. Recently we had about a dozen lemons hanging around one location and 4 of them followed us up to the safety stop and surface. Boat crew got surface video of their fins cruising around the boat while we surfaced. really awesome
