Have you finally done the trip? I am about to pull the trigger for a trip in May - and obviously don't want to spend precious holiday time and lots of $$$ on visiting a graveyard/partial graveyard.
I see all kind of feedback, local businesses mostly dismissing the problem, quoting guests, 99% of whom haven't seen the GBR before and the media on the other side, capitalizing on panic and "world's end is coming" headlines.
Being on the cautious side, I am actually looking for destinations south of cairns, maybe I'll even fly to Brisbane.
