my diving on the Big Island has all been up off the West Coast near the Hapinua Boat ramp Diving withBlue Wilderness, who we love.
We are staying 2 miles south of Kona this trip and wondering where else we should dive and whom to dive with. Suggestions and recommendations welcome for dive companies as well as your favorite diving spots.
Thanks

We dove with Sandwich Isle Divers in February. They are a small dive op that takes a maximum of 6 divers. They had two DMs in the water who were both great at pointing out critters. We had a great time and will use them again next year.

Jacks was pretty good. In late December/Jan the weather limits the viable dive sites for beginners, so unless you got on the advanced trips you saw a lot of the same sites. I'd assume you wouldn't have this issue at this time of year.

This wife and I were very happy with Kona Diving Company

I can't help too much as I only used Blue Wilderness, however I was very happy with them, all my dives were over 60 minutes. I did find that all the sites looked similar. But in the end all the dives were very relaxed and enjoyable.
