Dived off Jacksonville three weeks ago; surf water temp was 85 degrees, at 100 feet deep about 68. Visibility was 40-70 feet, as there have been no recent heavy storms. Decent diving starts at 15 miles offshore, you'll need a boat. There are thermoclines in certain areas... Note, all professional boat diving is over 60 feet deep to around 100 (beyond "recreational"). Dive computer use is required and divers need to have logged several recent dives over 60 feet deep, and/or have AOW certification. Get a lobster take ticket, good eating right now.
