OK.

I've booked the ferry for Sat. leaving at 6:15am and returning at 8:05pm.

So, that makes me a 100% participant in the Wrinkles in Absentia dive!

I look forward to meeting those I haven't met before and seeing those I haven't seen for a while.

My wife, dive buddies bob and sandy, and myself are heading over Friday evening after a dive on the yukon aboard the lois ann. We'll be staying at the budget "E" 50.00 rooms at the hermosa. I'm curious as to what those rooms will be like! We're staying Saturday and leaving Sunday afternoon. I met up with the January group dive and had a great time. I'm not sure I recognize many of the names though so I look forward to meeting you all. My wife and I are taking new drysuits so try not to laugh if you see fins aimlessly flipping out of the water- it's just your neighbors from (way) EAST (of) LA.

Tony.

Well, my trip to Grand Cayman is a no-go, so I will be in town this weekend and would live to dive CP, having never done it before.

How many dives are you guys planning on doing and what ferry are the Long Beach guys coming back on? I assume there would be no problem getting on the 6:15 out of LB with you guys?

dazedone, sorry about your trip to Grand Cayman, but glad to have you on Catalina!

I can't speak for everyone but I plan 3 dives, maybe 4 if conditions are good (since I am on that horrible 6:15 am ferry!!). We are on the 8:05 PM ferry returning.

To all: I am checking on a Project AWARE Coastal Cleanup project that is supposed to be on Catalina. If this is the one Debbie mentioned that is at Two Harbors, perhaps we can all do an "informal" Coastal Cleanup, in recognition of International Coastal Cleanup day on Sept. 18th.

tonyc (and others), I will bring my official "ScubaBoard" Tshirt to fly as a flag so we can set up in one area, since the famous Dr. Bill and his jeep are out of town! Be sure to come and at least say "hi"!

Jim bring your weights!

I'm not cleaning anything, this will be a vacation for me...........

Jim, bring your weights!!!!!!!!!!

I'll pick up trash underwater, but as far as the beach goes, I think the beach-goers should lend a hand!

Simon and I are on the 7:15 ferry out of Dana Point returning on the 7pm ferry.

Jim, bring your weights, but more importantly, put them in your BC!! :)

Do you guys rent tanks out there or bring them? I'm tempted to bring my Steel 120 tank, but am worried about the hassle factor.

OK, no lazy people allowed on the "Wrinkles in Absentia" Dive!!

All I was thinking is pick up trash underwater if you see it, pick it up in the Casino Parking Lot if you see it!!

Dazedone - you can rent AL80's or Steel 72's at the dive park. That's what I will be doing.

Jim - Bring your weights and put them in your BC

You are more than welcome, but I'm not helping you carry that thing......... I'll be renting, don't want to deal with the heavy stuff.

Jim, bring your weights...........

Dazedone, it seems like most people bring their tanks with them, but from my perspecitive it just ain't worth it. If you rent a tank there, then when you want a refill they may just swap with you, and you won't have to wait to get a fill. And most importantly, all the cool people will be renting...

Oh, and Jim, bring your weights....
