There are several dive shops in kona to get gear from, I like Kona Dive Company, but there really isn't a bad shop there.

I rented tanks from Kona Diving Company when I was there, if I didn't use them I would of used Jack Dive Locker. I was doing boat diving every other day with them, so they made the rental part easy as they just exchanged tanks with me at the boat launch.

Love this place, go back every time I visit Big Island. Bring a lunch and enjoy the place, great snorkeling too. Great spot to free dive, with all depths available
