Was 15-20 last night and should be nice today....
Slack high tide isn’t till 8:55 pm and I don’t think anyone is doing a permitted night dive.

Not diving today/night but just trying to 'read the tea leaves' for Monday but thanx

The divediva went today and said it was great viz at about 35+, 79 degrees and no particles in the water column--blue water! Conditions could be GREAT tomorrow!

I went west. Out front the water was blue and decent vis. Once we got a little west, the vis really dropped and was more green. Maybe 20ft tops. Also there was some shimmering after the tide change. Couldn't tell if the cool water was coming or going. I do know the water at the bridge felt cooler than the ocean (last week). Very spotty. Was it a thermocline or a halocline (are they dumping water from the recent rains?) We decided it was a cross of the two.

Viz has been good all week--ranging from 20 to 35+ and generally dropping to around half that when the tide reverses. Water temp is now 81 degrees for the past 3 days. I went today and yesterday......today 2 batfish, several octos, a dragonette, a tiny eel, jawfish, a sea robin and a seahorse plus more....a southern ray and a line of lobsters out and marching--or were they kick dancing?! Today's viz about 20-25 on the east side.
