I got word that we lost Alan Knappenberger on Friday April 22, 2016 . I just don't know what to say. He was my wing man on over 100 dives. A good man and a fine friend. I'll miss him

I'm very sad. There were many Sunday afternoons when I just decided to head out to clear springs because I just knew that Alan would be there for a couple of dives. I remember cold days diving in the dark depths of Lake Murray with him. He always had a great attitude and a smile on his face. I will miss him.

That's sad news. Alan was my dive buddy several times at CSSP including my first night dive. RIP.
