Join Dive Addicts for a fun-filled day of diving at Sand Hollow State Park Saturday, August 29th

Saturday, August 29
Fun begins at 10:00 am

Come explore the airplane wreck, VW bus wreck, buoyancy course and slot canyons in the warm waters of Sand Hollow Reservoir located in southern Utah close to St. George. We will be setting up a navigation course for you to test your mad skills and win prizes!!! We will bring a grill and hot dogs for all to enjoy. Bring your favorite dish or item to share with the group.

The reservoir also boasts big bass, blue gill, crawdads, and beautiful red rock scenery. Meet us on the beach of the scuba park!

The scuba park has maximum depth of about 45 feet, depending on waterlevels. Weather conditions tend to be dry and hot in August, although thunderstorms are possible. Expect daytime temps in the high 90’s. Winds often pick up for a few hours in the late afternoon.

There are plenty of hotel accommodations in St. George (15 minutes away) and Hurricane (5 minutes away) or you may camp at the start park.www.utah.com/stateparks/sand_hollow.htm for more information about the park and campgrounds. (You can book a campsite onreserveamerica.com.)

There will be airfills available on-site for $8.00 a tank. We recommend bringing two tanks - then you have a fresh one to dive while waiting for the other to be filled. We strongly recommend reserving gear ahead of time if you're renting. Water temps tend to be in the mid to high 70's, so a 3mm wetsuit should work nicely.

Sand Hollow is a great place to complete the Advanced Adventure course, or specialty courses such as Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, Wreck, Night, Altitude, or Sidemount.

Please let us know in advance if you are interested in doing any training dives so we can plan accordingly.
