Just Completed the season in Tonga, Great diving, whales, archeological surveys and finds!!! now back in Fiji..we located two wrecks and confirmed positions of three more ..still can't talk about some things yet, but the Dive Team..10 in Total, had an awesome time!..check out the BLOG and pictures we can show for now on www.bluetreasure.me ..I am now looking to fill the four spots left for BLUE BASE in 2014..this will be another true adventure .10 weeks in August Sept $400 a week...all the team had once in a life time experiences!!..we have a new Magnetometer for next season and hope to pin down at least 5 more wrecks..it promises to be a bigger year than this year...

Sorry about the late reply..we had 22 cylinders, including three twin rigs, 4 compressors, pleanty of O2 and safety gear inc Defibs..etc, three RIBS, dredges, UW comms, four metal detectors, heaps of survey gear,,tonns of equipment for BLUE BASE etc etc...so all in plenty to get the job done ..it was fun and we had some great success...nothing over 30 mtrs..so that was OK..next year we will complete some unfinished business so it should be fun....

Just an update..Just bought another "fast dive boat" for Tonga project and will be looking for a volunteer Capt for that...check out google images on a " Tropyh 2359" and you will see the type of boat...this needs a permanent diving minder/capt as part of our team...it arrives in Tonga April 2014 and will operate for at least 6 months!!..Fun..details are also on our blog at ' + picTitle + '

"'+picTitle+'"

'+the_location+', '+the_year+'

&copy '+the_photographer+', Image ID: '+the_photo_id+'

') newWindow.focus() } func ..Thanks..Don

If you posted; "Divers Needed. Rescue C-Card Minimum. Room, Board, 5% bonus paid!"

I'd be all over it!

But... Volunteer at only $400/ week...

you know what...

In my head "voulenteer" dont mean "paying customer"...

Crew signing onto “ICE” will always pay $2000 a month as a crew contribution. At BLUE BASE, or on our other land or boat based operations, each team member pays $400 per week for the first 10 weeks, then $200 per week for the next 20 weeks of involvement. This is “serving time”. From that point, if an opportunity becomes available and you make the grade?, you “may” be offered a “Permanent Crew”spot

LMAO..People actually do this?
I could maybe understand working in exchange for food, room and board, but why would anyone pay to work for someone else?....that's some racket you have going there, I must admit, I'm a bit jealous...:)

But at least you get the Nigerian Finance Minister as your buddy!

Love the comments....I have not been on SB for some time, having too much fun! in Tonga...LOL?? Our 2013 crew in their words had the best time of their lives...living the life living and diving from their own uninhabited tropical island , hunting wrecks, surveying sites, swimming with whales,etc...NOT what you would call working.....it surely is not for everyone, but if you are up for an adventure in an amazing place, that is NOT a packaged dive holiday..this is different...don't worry, if we find anything the Govt. get plenty and the locals get plenty and we get a bit, so our crew will be looked after....but we are all here for the fun of it, not the GOLD!..nothing like it anywhere in the world!...eight crew spots are open for "Blue Base" July to October, or "ICE" May to October in 2015....all the details/pics are on our web site...or check my profile and PM me....thanks...hope to see you in the team....$400 a week (10 week minimum) is less than most people pay for rent!..and we make no profit from that...But you may be pleased to know that in 2015 we are having only two 'Paying customers" on the island at any one time..to live the life and help...for those who just have 'holidays" and need to get back to real work. They will pay $150 a day and $50 a dive....look forward to hearing from you...thanks...
