Greetings,

I started looking for scuba forums recently and came across some scubaboard posts that I might respond, so I figured I'd register. I've been interested in scuba diving for some time and always said that if I traveled somewhere known for scuba diving and I wasn't certified, I'd regret it. Last July I finished my certification (NAUI open water) and finally had the chance to go to Hawaii (Maui and O'ahu) that October. Mission accomplished, I was certified prior to going somewhere known for diving. The only downside was that the island hop and my travel plans only allowed for a 1 day 2-tank dive. The upside was that my first ocean dives were the Molokini Crater, Maui followed by Wailea Point, Maui. To say I'm hooked is an understatement. Last month I got to go on my first dive-focused trip spending a week in Cozumel, Mexico doing 5 days of 2-tank diving. It was a fantastic week!

Cheers,

Jim

howdy and welcome..........Molokini is one of my favorite dive sites, hope you enjoyed it?

Welcome! I must say that I am a bit jealous of those dives. Have a great time with your new sport.

Welcome to SCUBAboard!

Welcome to diving and to Scubaboard! It only gets harder to stay above water as time goes on!

You've been warned. Stay away from these nut jobs! And whatever you do, don't ever, ever take advice from anyone here!

. And welcome to diving.
