Nope, it says...

Firmware Updating Procedure for SeaLife DC1400 Underwater Camera
1. Download firmware version V1.05PR here:
http://www.sealife-cameras.com/sites/sealife/files/firmware/ME560PXM.bin
(If link is inactive, copy and paste into your web browser)
2. Save the ME560PXM.bin firmware file to your memory card
3. Insert the memory card into the camera.
4. Push and HOLD the shutter button and power on the camera.
5. The green status light will flicker and the camera will power on.

Your camera is now updated and ready to use – ENJOY

Hope that works for you...

I have a trip coming up to the Keys in three weeks. I wasn't even aware that there was a firmware update...thanks for posting this thread.

Ahhhh it worked.... Thanks... I was just hitting the on button, no the shutter button... Too much going on trying to finish up packing.
Dive bag is 50lbs.... Now have to fit my camera stuff in my carry on. Sealife 800 & 1400 with flash....
Look forward to diving again in the cayman..... 2 weeks of pure diving........ Don't get any better than than.... Well maybe longer.....

Coming in quite late here but only now seeing these posts. Just wanted to say thanks for the info as I too needed to update my firmware. Didn't even realise that it existed. So I'm now paying significantly more attention to my camera.

How do I check to see which firmware I have?
Should be in your camera menu.
