Years ago, did shore dive off beach Isabela to dive the caves, caverns, swim thrus. We rented gear at dive shop in Isabela which I think is out of business (Cueva Submarina) We'll be driving from San Juan and will need to rent gear (BC, Tank, Regs, weights..)

Confirming no shops near Isabela. I see one in Aquadilla but would require going past Isabela and back. I'm thinking renting at shop in San Juan.

Now, wehre to park, enter. That part I couldn't remember. I recall it was parking in residential area

Thanks. I'm trying to find dive shops in SJ can rent from as will be coming from there. Don't want to have to drive to Aguadilla, rent, go to Isabella then have to drive back to aquadilla to drop off gear, drive back..

Ideally would be great if could rent from La Cueva Submaina that was in Isabel if they are still there (I recall Pain Acevedo) Anyone know how to reach them if they can rent gear?

There is a shop in Isabela named La Cueva Submarina and they do daily trips to the Caves... I spoke w him in June 2013 and they still do trips. also check Jose Rafolds at Aquatica Dive and Surf he takes groups to the Caves. He is in Aguadilla on gate 5 of old Ramey AFB. (close to Borinquen airport and Coast Guard station)

I am located in the Isabela area and although the hurricane has destroyed much of the island, we are slowing rebuilding. If you are planning on diving in the Isabela area (which I do highly recommend because its spectacular) check out Dive Aquatica in Aguadilla...In my opinion this is a much better option than renting gear in San juan and driving all the way.
