I took a chance and dove the Halcyon Contour today. To say I am impressed would be an understatement. A full review will be coming soon.
 
As for Halcyon entering the SM market, Lynne hit the nail on the head: Halcyon would be foolish, indeed, to ignore the market (not unlike some previously very successful, well-known photographic equipment companies – no longer in business - were foolish to ignore the digital market). Sidemount popularity is growing

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that sidemount will never achieve the dominant market share that digital photography has today


I know there are GUE divers diving sidemount

This reminds me of the quote "There are no DIR divers who smoke"

Anyone who went to DEMA this year and compared the difference's between the Imaging resource area and the Technical diving area might accuse you of stating the obvious
