Looking for a public boat ramp in Gloucester/Rockport

Sounds like some of the ramps got washed out in the last year so was hoping someone had updated info about where I could launch. People keep talking about 'the High School" but the MA public boat launch site doesn't seem to list it. Anyone know where it is? Thanks in advance.

It's behind the HS (32 Leslie O Johnson Rd). I'm not sure about fees, etc but it's in a good location on the Annisquam River just past the cut.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a bit of a ride from there to get to NE corner of Cape Ann. I'll keep looking for other landings.

In that case, your best bet would be to try and find one in Rockport as there are none from the breakwater to the Rockport border

Gloucester's only one. The one at Lanes Cove I don't think is open to public and locals only. Limited trailer parking.

That's the one I was thinking off. Had been close to 15 years since I was there. Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't use the one at lanes cove, they are not diver friendly over there and if they find out your a diver your stuff could be in trubble while your gone. I have been using granite pier for yrs and no problem at all. even used the transient dockage and spent the night.

Agreed. There is some old fogey there (with a white beard) who is a complete d$ck. Drives a truck + a weirdo in a green Subaru who likes to gawk at my wife.
