I don't think that would be the same wreck. The Gulf Rambler is stated to be in 6 FT of water. JoelFoley was asking about 3 miles east of the inlet. That has got to be much deeper than 6 FT.

These are the only named wrecks whithin 3/34 of a nautical mile of the inlet. There are also 5 unknown obstructions in the area also.
 
My advice to you if you are looking to dive is: Nothing that close is worth the effort, unless you live here. The inshore stuff includeing the bass grounds can be magical to dive, 1 out of 100 attempts to do so. The other 99 are braile dives. We do a quick look to check vis and in the 99 cases it is bad, we move farther offshore and farther south to avoid the inshore run off. Hope this helps.
