I'm looking for a dive buddy this weekend in Monterey (3/30 or 3/31) as my usual buddies are all busy or away.

I'm definitely a beginner (19 dives), but all of them are in cold water (and most are in Monterey).

Could be talked into either boat or shore although I haven't done a boat dive yet, so keep that in mind.

Cheers,

Joe

It looks as though the Beachhopper II still has openings for it's Saturday and Sunday charters, and it is reasonably priced. I am sure that you would be able to find someone on the boat to buddy up with.

Another alternative would be to get to the Breakwater early and hope to find a buddy out there.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, I was there the last two weekends but I got to take a weekend off....

I'll be diving with either 1 or 2 friends Sunday at Breakwater. We plan on scouting past the Metridium Fields and then exploring Hidden beach afterwards. So it would either be a 3-man to 4-man team if you wanted to join us. And there will be a bit of surface swim on the first dive (pre-warning)

Thanks for the suggestion! They actually looked booked by the time I took a look, but I found a spot on the Silver Prince doing a 3-tank Carmel dive on Saturday. If anyone here is heading on that trip and happy to have a buddy along let me know, otherwise I'll work something out on the boat!

Thanks all,

Joe
