Unconfirmed rumor that the local LGU's will raise the dive pass rate by 50%.. From 100p per day to 150 oer day

Just got certified (YEY!) over the weekend in Batangas and part of the resort fee was P300 for a 2-day dive pass.

It's worth it... for all the good work protecting the marine parks, cleaning the beaches, anti-littering and other positive pro-diver, marine conservation and tourism development initiatives that are being actively funded by the money collected.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

From my observation its just money to line the pockets of the local towns, anilao and tingloy. no other visible results.

In in 14 years of diving I have seen batnay dagat only 3 times and each time just checking/harrasing bancas for dive pass, the slaughtered whale shark and sea springs resort come to mind. all happened under the noses of bantay dagat

and speaking of the LGU's what's the 1% provencial tax being added in our resort bills. If you will ask Gov Vilma Santos or Vice Gov mark Leviste they are both silent

GOOD POINT !! and provencial governent is silent

I wouldn't mind paying double if they actually did their job.
