In the middle of a Snapper Hole bait ball September 2009. They were so thick I really couldn't see anything but fish in any direction. I'm not as skilled as most who have posted to this thread, but I think you get the idea.

That be correct... and it sounds and acts just like one. Quite an experience to be that close to one!

Bigger experience???...being in the middle of 5 of them, 20 miles out in the GofM in your 25' offshore boat........That''ll make you a man ----or unmake(kill) you.....Fortunately, we keep kept running further out ,offshore,(where the weather 'looked' better) & got out of the stormy weather ---that was building just offshore & heading inland....Will NEVER forget that day.......

Wife literally said ' I think I'm gunna go up front(in the cabin) & read for a while'.......
