I thought I was pretty clever with my Princeton Tec Amp 1.0 backup light. $10, easy to stow, and nice and bright when I needed it. Eventually, though, it flooded and the corrosion is pretty much irreversible.

Was I expecting too much? Or can these cheapie lights be a viable backup if you check the cap regularly and maybe grease the o-ring now and then?

Yeah, I pretty much figured. If I expect it to last like a pro piece of gear, I guess I should treat it more like one... even if it is a 10 buck light.

I'm under the impression that Princton Tek has a lifetime warranty on all there products. Bring it back to your LDS and see what they say.
Good Luck-DD
