scott-that pretty much sounds like our game plan lol
aigtbootbp-we have pretty much no idea what exactly were doin yet, were waiting to hear whether were going to be in waikiki or kapolei. After we get that sorted out were going to work on when and where well be diving. Ive heard a lot about some dive companies going out of their way to pick people up from the waikiki area so if were around there will probably look into some of those places, ill try and keep you updated as we make plans.

Many shops have Waikiki hotel pickup service. The difference would be how long the drive is after they pick you up. If you go with Capt Bruce or Ocean Concepts, the drive would be about 45 min to an hour. If you go with Honolulu Scuba Company, the drive is usually less than 10-15 minutes.

something to consider when you book. as a cert. diver you would want to book the morning dive, as the afternoons are filled with intros, if you book the afternoon dive, make sure you arrange to get a more personal experience, this may cost more but it will not tie you up diving with intros.

sorry to add onto this thread, but any recommendations or comments on the charter dive boats on the island? I'm diving with my son and have fair amount dive experience for 5 days. Also taking 2 younger sons and sister in law out who just have recent basic c cards on one day trip.
