I think I've been pronouncing this name wrong for months now. :D I saw a video last night on You Tube about Arthur's Place and one of the woman said Anilao like "Annie-lay-oh". Is that correct?

I'm seriously thinking of Anilao as our January Phillipines dive destination and better get the name right, eh?

In Anilao, they [Philippinos] say An'-ih-lao, where "ao" sounds like "ow".

Ask for directions to "Annie-lay-oh" and they'll just stare at you.

Well you have 10 months to practice :rofl3:

"eye-nah-koh, bah-stos tah-lah-gah" is all anyone ever seems to say to me...

i bet they say that after you've done something with your hands? :D

Yeah, funny that.

Also, they keep referring to me as "bah-boy", I think they must mean "Bad Boy" - that makes sense.
