spoolin, are you willing to go on record as the person who took the last bug (or breeding pair) from Casino Point? Do unto others, indeed. Is your living dependent upon this, or are you going out there on the Express like most of us? Would you have to recoup your ticket just to make it worth your while?

Fact .. The dive park is different than other areas of the coast
Fact .. No one is taking anyones livelihood by asking them to not fish inside the park
Fact .. killing inside the park would certainly be able to be said to be poor sportsmanship
Why does that matter? .. see above

No I certainly would not! I'm a life-long outdoorsperson who loves nature, and I don't enjoy it either when my space is intruded upon or my aesthetic sensibilities abused. I'm not a commercial harvester of anything and I don't take much recreationally either. I don't know if you read it, but bug hunting at Casino Pt was not my interest, remarking on the likelihood of a hypocritical double standard on the part of some of the complainers, was.

This whole thread smells of the race card. Just because it is legal does not make it right...we all know this. There is a fine line in between ethics and morality, and many cross those lines using logic as a tool to feed our own ideals. Sometimes we must look at what is best for the nature as we are at the top of the food chain and can decimate anything on this great earth, whether it be for food or pleasure. We as a community of human beings must make reasonable choices in order to assure the sustainability of our oceans, forests, and creatures.
It is "our responsibility" people!
Sincerely,
An Avid Hunter and Fisherman

Just an observation:

I'm pretty sure that not a single person in this thread has openly admitted to taking game from the park. There are plenty of people in here saying they think it's okay to do so - but they won't admit to doing it themselves.

Hmmm - what does that mean?

But Cody.... we have no trains on Catalina so none of us here understand that reference!
