Hmmm... the local lodging doesn't seem to be well represented on the 'Net. Not much in the way of on-line reservations or rate quotes, and the few reviews I'm finding are pretty varied. Any specific recommendations?
Hour and a half drive from Cumberland (right?) wouldn't be bad, considering how far we'd be coming.
The law there is just that you have to surface within 100 ft of "a" dive flag, right? So it's not necessary to tow the thing around with you -- in effect all you're doing is establishing your surfacing location?
Hope to. Thanks!
I live in Cumberland and I have never stayed up there unless camping, so I really can't recommend anything. I have stayed in the guest house at the Purple Fiddle in Thomas, WV, but it is what I'd call "rustic", if you know what I mean. I know there are several divers here that stay around that area more, so they may be able to recommend something. Don't know what you want to spend, but you could also stay somewhere around Deep Creek Lake. There's a lot more dining and entertainment options there than in Cumberland, and it's probably about a 45min drive from there to Mt. Storm.
