Crossing back from Roatan to Utila yesterday everything looked good for a whale shark encounter around Utila during the next few days. We saw a lot of food in the water as we approached Utila and a lot of tuna around (eating the same food the whale sharks eat), so fingers crossed for the coming few days!

We saw whale shark last September, right out from CCV, two days in a row! But as Randy says that is unusual. Only one I have seen or heard of being seen that time of year.

We haven't been fortunate enough to spot a whale shark [YET!] but on our last visit to Fantasy Island in June a group of dolphins came to "play" with us. They stayed with the boat for about 15 minutes, swimming under us, around us and jumping out of the water. It was one of those things you feel blessed to witness :angel2:
