Was at Steilacoom free diving with my son. In 40 ft of water had maybe 15 to 20 vis. Nice day to try out new fins (Tusa imprex) and new boots 6.5 mm Deep Sea Thermo Flex. Boots toasty warm, fins gonna take some time to get used to.

Back out at Steilacoom today for a Christmas freedive vis 10 to 15 ft out at 30 ft of water. Getting used to the fins.

heard the vis is like 2 feet,:shakehead: what do you more experinced divers think about the conditions this upcoming weekend at redondo?

Vis at Redondo Tuesday night was awesome ... at least 25 feet.

Same at Cove 2 last night.

Tonight it was a bit less, due to runoff, but still pretty good. I'd put it at 20 feet or so.

I'll be at Redondo Saturday morning, so I'm hoping for decent vis too ...

We had excellent viz at Edmonds today, probably 25 to 30 feet. Viz at Cove 2 in the afternoon was not as good, but we had escorts :)

FYI, dove North Lummi yesterday. Vis was 8 - 12 feet down to 90 fsw in most spots. Bellingham Bay is brown with mud. Not the best vis day but it's still great to be there.

Viz at Saltwater yesterday morning was pretty decent. 16 to 20 feet down near the reefs.

(I couldn't resist reviving this vintage thread started in 2005 by a handsome local diver)
