This will be our first trip to Roatan. We will be staying at Fantasy Island Beach resort. we are there manly for the diving but I would also like to see the island. Is there any fun excursions or things to do for a first time.

Thanks
Ryan

I thought what to do after diving was universal? Deco beer :p

Most Resorts will have info to the site of the island. there is a great zipline adventure along with the iguana farm and some great restraunts. Most of all you will have fun doing nothing ay all.

When will you be there?
Didn't do the iguana farm but did the zipline and it was a blast!

Fantasy Island has an excursion desk and can arrange fun outings for you. If you don't want any organized activities, just check with the divemasters and see what they recommend. It's an AMAZINGLY beautiful island and there's plenty to see:D

We took the ferry from the Island to La Ceiba we were met by a taxi which took us to a garden resort kind of place where you could take a hike in the jungle with a guide it was an all day thing and very enjoyable, this was all organized right at Fantasy Island.

If you are mainly on Roatan for the diving, FIBR is a great choice.

How about just doing some more diving :rofl3: ? The dry-land stuff is fun, too.

(Don't forget, the nightly shore dive is just about the best thing going!)

You may want to use the day before your return flight to taxi over to West End and snorkel in Half Moon bay. Along the way you will get a sense of the towns and Sandy Bay area. You would not see West Bay but that's ok.

4 am is a cool time for a dive! Sleep when you get back home!

A night dive, followed by a dawn dive! Highly recommended! :D
