Starting my AOW

Hey all,

I am starting my AOW next monday! All I know is that I'm doing a beach dive, night dive, and boat dive.. Where?? No idea.

Any advise on what to expect? I have never dove this late in the year before.. Typically i end it right around September.

I also want to try out bug hunting.. preferibly on the beach to start.. I live in Malibu/Ventura area.. What are some good spots to try out?

Get the course materials and start reading, you will be doing alot more than just those things you mentioned.

i am south of you so i dont think im the best source for diving in your area as i have done none up there.
