I would have expected it to be affected by the tidal exchange as well??? How has the viz been lately?

Vis in Hood Canal isnt very trustworthy in the summer, but current s aren't such an issue. I would stick to Redondo (which has been GREAT the last couple of days), or Alki Cove 2, Maybe Les Davies for your shore dives.

You'll really enjoy a charter though. If you stay in the south sound then KVI is doable most of the time or Blakely Harbor reef (Metridium wall is a great dive and protected from current) Bandito can get you to both of those.
