I'll be in the SD are next week on Catalina Isand and am looking for diving options. Any suggestions for boats or shore dives? I know they sank a Canadian destroyer off shore but don't know the dive ops out their. My cousins will probably come down from LA for at least Sunday dives.

Also, what are the conditions? Dry suit?

Thanks!!!

Conditions are about 53-54 and this was not to long ago. I use a dry suit no matter what. Go to the dive park for shore dives as for the boats i dont know any out there

The King Neptune is a nice boat. Check the Scuba Luv web site.

Will you be in the San Diego area? or Catalina?
Both have great options for shore and boat diving,
but they are two very different locations.
The Canadian destroyer you're thinking of is probably the Yukon
which is one of several wrecks in "Wreck Alley" off Mission Beach in San Diego.

for SD dive info,
check out Divebums - A San Diego Dive Website
Wreck Alley, La Jolla Cove, La Jolla Shores are ones you'll want to check out.

on Catalina, it will depend where you're at.
Avalon is the main port that people visit
and has the Underwater Dive park that's easily reachable from shore.
