Considering our favorite recreational activities are snow-skiing and diving, I think we definitely live in the wrong place! It was 7 degrees yesterday morning - BRRRR! I am so ready to go somewhere warm! My husband and I are in our 40s and have 3 daughters (20/17/11). The two youngest were recently certified and we are looking for a Spring Break diving destination that is family-friendly and has fun beginner level dive sites. Any suggestions?

I see you have already been to Grand Cayman. That was our 1st trip with John and the gang too. It is hard to top GC or even equal it in my opinion. Ambergris Caye/Belize is a good location. We are headed there the end of Feb. It doesn't offer any shore diving but has lots of Dive Ops and it is a really nice laid back location.

Looks like the weekend is going to be better - possible 60 on Sun. But Lezak said our bad weather has yet to hit (that is an inside KC joke - none of the weathermen can forecast the weather here)

Welcome to the board. we must have the same weather reporters here in New England 7 degrees today and 55 predicted for Wed. go figure.

Welcome to the board! Have you ever cruised before? I usually find very good deals on cruises (last one was $299 per person for 5 nights and the one I'm going on in March is $449 per person for 7 nights). It's all inclusive so you don't have to worry about spending extra on food, entertainment, etc. Only extras are alcohol, casino, spa, and diving...I only do one of those

Welcome Aboard !
The wrecks in the great lakes are practically deserted at that time of year. Just have to shove your way through the bikini clad college gals to get to the boats.

Hi Becky! I moved to Florida from Lawrence, Kansas in 1998. Love both places.
Why don't you look into Bonaire for your family friendly and warm dive trip. We've been there twice and love the easy diving and exceptional reefs.
Linda
