Mares Abyss 05 with Swiveling Connector?

So I would like to thread the hose of my Mares Abyss 05 under my right arm, and then use a swiveling connector (the Mares one) between the hose and second stage so that the reg will sit properly. I think this will be a bit more comfortable for me. I know that there was some discussion specifically about changing a hose on the Abyss, and it seemed that there is some element of the regulator that no longer works when certain attachments are installed. I am wondering if this is the case with the swiveling connector. If I install it and use this configuration, will the performance of the reg be affected at all? Cheers.
