I used to go to that place as a kid, maybe 6 or 7 and they had little air tubes I think.

They still do, you can see some of them in the photo.

It's a fun place to dive & a fun place to watch their shows. Some of the former mermaids put on shows as well, some of those ladies are in their 60s & 70s. They are amazing!
 
Hate to say it, but I hope it was catch and release... she's below legal size! Just kidding. I hope I'm doing the same when I'm in my 80's. Heck, I wouldn't mind doing it right now! Age is a state of mind. Your Dad obviously knows that.... may be stay "young" (active) for a long time to come.
