Info on Cuba?

After many dive trips to Cozumel, we'd like to experience diving in Cuba this spring. I've found lots of different dive operations, but would appreciate any input. We'll be looking for a flight out of Cancun or Mexico City, as our home base is San Antonio.

We flew from Havana to Cayo de Coco (?) which is an international airport on the North East Coast of Cuba.

I didn't think any US citizens could go to Cuba? Can you dive around Cuba?

Lots of my Yank friends go to Cuba with us from here in Cayman which is, like Cancun & Nassau, a gateway - just make sure they don't stamp your passport. Some of the diving (like say Maria la Gorda) is as good as anywhere else in the Caribbean (though the rental gear, I'm afraid is not). There are also lots of interesting activities topside ....
