After many dive trips to Cozumel, we'd like to experience diving in Cuba this spring. I've found lots of different dive operations, but would appreciate any input. We'll be looking for a flight out of Cancun or Mexico City, as our home base is San Antonio.

Lots of my Yank friends go to Cuba with us from here in Cayman which is, like Cancun & Nassau, a gateway - just make sure they don't stamp your passport. Some of the diving (like say Maria la Gorda) is as good as anywhere else in the Caribbean (though the rental gear, I'm afraid is not). There are also lots of interesting activities topside ....
