I was just doing some spring cleaning of promotion materials that I received at a dive travel show from 2 or 3 years ago and came across The Asri Dive and Leisure Resort in Anilao, which may may possibly be sufficiently up market for you.

@Char_Koay_Teow, I like your ScubaBoard handle! Another handle following the food theme!

I first sampled the char koay teow dish in Bangkok. Then I ate it again in Georgetown, Malaysia while visiting Kimberly Street. One of my favorite dishes from SE Asia is duck kway chap. There is a famous street hawker on Kimberly Street who serves the dish. You can also find duck kway chap in Singapore (and probably many other places in SE Asia). Give the dish a try! You might like it!

Heading to Penang in a couple of months after diving in Palau. Cannot wait to eat char koay teow. Everytime I land in PEN, the first thing I do before I even drop off my bags is eat char koay teow. 😋😋

We’re booked there in April. If all goes to plan, I’ll report back.
I look forward to your report. I'm thinking of taking a group there in 2027 if it as good as I remember.

@Centrals, that pic in the article of the duck kway chap is exactly as I remember when the hawker on Kimberley Street served me the bowl. As I ate I thought I was in heaven, it tasted so good! As luck had it, the char koay teow hawker and the duck kway chap hawker were across the street from each other, a distance of about 20 meters. I ate char koay teow one night and returned the next night for duck kway chap!! And the si koh soup is a fantastic treat especially during a hot, humid day in Malaysia!!
