I dive AI computer only. Losing the transmitter means the dive is over, but it's not critical (you were watching your air anyway and have a good idea of how much you use?). One less hose to have dangling.

Basic scuba forum mi amigo.Maybe you're ending the dive and going up. That doesn't mean everyone in that situation is going up.
I have a miniSPG in the HP port not being used for the transmitter. The miniSPG is on the same side as the thank valve, so is easy to see if the tank is full or not. Breathing from the reg as a check works fine with the AI, just give it a few seconds. For you guys not bothering with an spg, how does it work for your pre dive checks when you would normally breathe from your regs while looking at needle?
I'm just about to setup my Tx tomorrow and won't have an analogue

I'm not concerned about the "barely on" scenario. I just open fully and rely on decades of successful ongoing training. I also position the tank so I can reach my valve if needed (e.g., deck hand turned it off by mistake). Descending while looking at my buddy is standard practice. For you guys not bothering with an spg, how does it work for your pre dive checks when you would normally breathe from your regs while looking at needle?
