hi. why do you say you like catalina if its jjst like luxfer? curious to know
I never said they were the same or just like. The buoyancy is slightly different between the two and I favor the Catalina for my purpose.

For single tank diving. Would catalina tanks matter in terms of bouyanvy and trim? Compared to a luxfer / metal impact?
Not enough difference to really matter. I have two AL80s (1 Luxfer, 1 Catalina). They look slightly different, but underwater, I haven't ever really noticed a difference.

ok its between Metal Impact alum and catalina alum.

planning to sell off some of my old tanks… they were bought 2nd hand with pittings already.

so single tank wetsuit diving. all good. Catalina.

deco tanks catalina 80s also ok? doesnt change much?
A lot of people prefer Luxfers for stages/decos because they don't go as "butt-light" as quick as Catalinas.

But it is all personal preference I don't really mind and actually kind of prefer deco/stage tanks to go lighter and get out of the way sooner.

Here is a video comparing the two at different pressures:
