Been there, done that, didn't care for it. DSFDFHow did you like the C53?
My daughter and I we there last week, it was her first "wreck dive". I thought it was a good wreck, plunty of acess holes to make is safe for OW set up but not enough to give you the feel that it was a just a piece of steel on the bottm to swim around. I would do it again.I know, you didnt ask me, but I did it last year and loved it
To each his or her own. One thing I didn't like about it was that the time I went the current was fairly strong and I got blown off the wreck before I could get down; the boat had to come get me. Also, I am a bit claustrophobic so I didn't go inside; I had to fight or hide from the current while the others in my group were inside. Lastly, it is a work of man, not of nature; my interests lie elsewhere. My daughter and I we there last week, it was her first "wreck dive". Las Palmas is a great site. Some people don't like it but I love it. You zig zag from coral head to coral head, often find juvenile angel fish and other cool critters, along with spotted and goldentail morays. On each of my last two trips to Cozumel, I've seen a big eagle ray cruise by munching on crab.Never heard of this one. I'll make a note of it for my next yearly visit.
That's a new one on me. I have been to Colombia Deep, Pinnacles, and Shallows, but not Cordillera. Where is it?Colombia Cordillera
There is no Cozumel dive site that I do not enjoy diving. One day during our last trip to Cozumel the second morning dive was at Paradise, and the DM apologized to me for it when we were on the way there. I told him not to worry about it, and it turned out to be one of the best dives of the trip. Low current, bright sunlight, lots of critters, no other boats - what's not to like?Las Palmas is a great site. Some people don't like it but I love it. Once you've got the wreck clearly in view and have determined there's not enough current to create an issue you can let go of the line and free descend to it.
My Garmin watch didn't log the entry, but the exit was near Palancar Bricks. That's a new one on me. I have been to Colombia Deep, Pinnacles, and Shallows, but not Cordillera. Where is it?
Las Palmas is south of Paradise. I vaguely recall it is named for a few Palm trees that used to be on the shore (but some or all have died ). That conversation was 25 years ago so memory is a little hazy .Never heard of this one. I'll make a note of it for my next yearly visit.
