This Thread Prefix is for incidents relating to diver, instructor, and crew training.

We saw a similar thing in Australia. A group of tourists from Korea was doing Open Water training at our local beach, with a Korean instructor. One of the young women had apparently messed up an exercise, and the instructor slapped her! We were pretty gobsmacked but, from the reaction of the class (or lack of it) that seemed to be taken as normal.
