      Hey Ron,
      I have a Cobalt 2 that wont power up. Its been in storage for about 2 months, so I figured the battery was just dead. After an overnight charge, nothing. Its warm from charging but still wont turn on. Ive tried both a 11 and 30 hold for a hard reset, and that didn't work either. When I took it from storage, it turned on for like 3 seconds with the reset time/date screen, but that was all I got out of it.

      Hello Ron,
      could you please again tell me how to clear the divelog? I purchased a used Cobalt2 and I am absolutely happy with it! Now I would like to get rid of my predecessor's divelog... just one minor issue- the upright button does not always work under any conditions... Acording to the serial#, my Cobalt2 seems to be built 2015. any suggestions how to improve it?

      After two years of flawless operation, on today's dive my Cobalt 2 stopped showing Dive Time (0) and NDL (--). It also stopped recording my dives in the Dive Log. I'm not sure what to do as i purchased it on line. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

        First thing is to try to diagnose what the issue is. Most critically, does it display depth correctly? If so, the wet contacts might not be registering water, which can be due to grease or grunge on the pins at the Cobalt's nose.

      Hello, I have a Cobalt 1 that won't turn on, it seems like it may be due to charging incorrectly after the battery depleted. Would you mind sending the instructions to restart the battery to my email (mkc01@gwmail.gwu.edu)

      Ron we have sent her computer back multiple times. They changed what needed to be changed and updated the firmware.
      That being said it happened again. They did say but not convincingly that if there had more issues a new one would be issued.
      We waited 2 and a half months for our computer to be fixed and returned. So we are pretty much dealing with it.

      Trying to update my Cobalt 1 to latest version. When I drag the correct ver to cobalt on screen it always comes up flash failed. Any ideas?

      Hi Ron..Went to use my Cobalt 1 today, checked it before I left the house..charged 100%..wouldn't turn on a half hour later?? Hadn't been charged in a few months, if that has any bearing. I put it on the AC charger, but nothing. Might this be a simple battery reset? I'm assuming I can get to the battery by removing the four allen screws in the back? Thanks for any help you can offer...Jeff

      Hi i am noticing that after 1 week of not being used my cobalt 2 charging level goes from 100 to 33 pct. During the same time my wifes cobalt 2 stood at a healthy 93 pct. Any help would be appreciated.

        The Cobalt shouldn't go down more than 1-2% per day, as your wife's is doing. More indicates it is not going fully into sleep mode (as would be if the contacts were wet or bridged) or possibly a battery problem or leak into the battery area. You can email me at ronr@oconcepts.com, let me know the firmware version and we can troubleshoot. It may be that it should go in.
