I am first and foremost a diver. My best dive was the very first dive on the USS Vandenberg, 15 min after she sank as a clearance diver team leader for the sinking. I support my habit currently by running a consulting company representing high quality manufacturers with highly developed technical innovations and limited market penetration. We have offices in Sweden and the US. Here's the expected Bio/CV summary:
I am a technical instructor and instructor trainer, the author of 10 diving related books: 3 still in current use by training agencies and 1 in mainstream book stores ("Diver Down-Real Word SCUBA Accidents"). I currently contribute to XRay Magazine and I was the training & tech editor for "SCUBA Diving Magazine" (01-09) where I wrote "Lessons for Life" among other articles monthly during that period. I provide expert consultation on diving accidents and I also consult for manufacturing companies and training agencies in the diving industry. I was the head of the Dept of Aquanautics at Texas A&M and an AAUS scientific diving instructor after which I returned to the industry to manage the Global Bare Watersports Division at Huish Outdoors('16-'19). I also managed the US divisions of European companies including Waterproof Diving International (Sweden-'03-09), Si Tech AB (Sweden-'03-09) and the Diving Equipment Division of Draeger Safety(Germany-'99-'02). I have managed US distribution for companies including Green Force & Poseidon. Way back in my dark ages I owned dive shops in NC and the Keys, which was hands down the best job I ever had and I still try to teach as often as possible. I am also a veteran of the first Gulf War.Interact
