      Loved your post on Dive guide responsibilities and loved it. Very informative for both guides and those looking for one. I would have replied but that didn't seem to be an option. Just wondering who you work for now so I know who to ask for on an upcoming trip.

    Carin Kiphart (aka “Mantagirl&#8221:wink:, lives a life of passion through adventure and underwater exploration which has taken her to over 105 countries and all seven continents.

    Along the way she has logged 7500+ SCUBA dives in 22 years as a NAUI Scuba instructor, climbed Himalayan mountains, and explored the planet from Antarctica to Oceania and back again. Under the water, her fish finding abilities are legendary and she uses her skill as an underwater filmmaker to document her discoveries.

    Carin served as Dive Training Director for Ocean Quest International, Dive Director for WindStar Cruises and is co-founder of Global Dive Expeditions and Live Adventurously. She guided natural and historical tours for over a decade in the US western national parks, Central America and Europe and has led dive expeditions to remote areas including the Dahlak Archipelago of Eritrea and Niatoputapu in remote Tonga.

    Honors include membership in the prestigious Explorers Club, Citizen for Cultural Exchange Award, and soon to be inducted to SSI Platinum Pro 5000. She is an avid supporter of ocean conservation and President of Ocean of Hope Foundation.

    She is the author of, “The Ultimate Guide to Making Travel Planning Fun and Easy” and is currently working on a book surrounding her greatest passion: living a life of adventure.
