Accident at Lake Rawlings Sunday 05/27/2012

Incredible! I just went through this entire post and it’s just simply incredible to say the least. I was awakened because of work and couldn’t go back to sleep, so I thought I’d add my last post to this thread. Here are my thoughts: A very sad set of tragic events lead to the...

Accident at Lake Rawlings Sunday 05/27/2012

Wow, A lot of speculation and finger pointing. The law will figure who is at fault. SSI, PADI, NAUI.. the OW limit is 8 students to 1 instructor and no DM is required. The addition of a DM will usually up the limit to 10 to 1 as long as the DM is current with their organization and is cayying...

    Scubapro C300

Well, here's an update on the MK11/C300. I got one and the lever design is simple like the 650. The only issues after putting 35 dives on this thing is that it whistles underwater and there is a spot while breathing that it feels likes it pops and starts to breath easier (darwing in hard on...

    OMS Featherweight

Well apart from the OMS bashing, I thought this is about the OMS featherweight. Here are some stats. A friend saw it at Beneath the Sea this weekend and yes it's 1680 nylon, weighs in at 5 pounds and only has a single tank strap. I do agree the wings are gi-normous for a travel BC once you get...

Question about Aqualung Titan and water temperature

steffi, The MK25/G250V is a top notch regulator, if you buy from leisure pro you will NOT have the free parts for life program that ScubaPro offers. I have no idea if leisure pro has the same type of program but the price from them may offset a vew service visits to the local shop. Even if...

Question about Aqualung Titan and water temperature

Rivers, Aqualung North America recommends you not use it in water colder than 50 degrees as it may freeze up. If it is an LX it will have the ribbed heat exchanger on the 2nd stage. It would help you out to install the Enviro kit as mentioned as it will give you a better edge against the cold.

Aruba - beware of Pelican/Unique Sports of Aruba

Wow, that sucks! but riddle me this batman. If you were 300 yards away who was not paying attention to the group and where they were going. I mean you didn't say that anyone else was 300 yds away. As for a disorganized dive, most folks who dive once or twice a year in the tropics are more than a...
