Wondering where your stuff from overseas is? Shipaggedon!

We have a fix for that: blockchain. No need to print anything, we just capture more electrons and send them down the wires. Or was it a series of tubes?

    Heinrichs Weikamp OSTC

Quiet a bit, actually: from the setup to cross-compile for the target CPU to getting the bootloader right, and more. And that's just to get your modified firmware in, modifying it is a separate story.

Anti-Fogging Treatments for New Masks. (a comparison of techniques)

Seriously though, at one point I realised that my masks fog up when a water gets in and washes off the surfactant. With Sea Drops that's what you're supposed to do: rinse it before descending. So now if I don't hold my junk tight enough stepping of the boat, or the mask strap being at wrong...

Decompression Stop Guidelines - What we have to do if got deco alert?

Also what is the company's definition of cannot (overstay their no-stop time)? Gotta wonder how they plan to stop me.

Decompression Stop Guidelines - What we have to do if got deco alert?

Wow. If there ever was a worse way to advertise a dive computer, I'd be curious to know what that is: :banghead:

    Expanding ScubaBoard to social media

If it's just the backup channel, it sounds like FB didn't work too well for that either. (And there is one that works, it's called e-mail, and you know all ours.)

    Push Notifications

Like I said, imagine if back in late 90's they let us do it to peoples' cellphones, and without explicit opt-in too.

Do you really understand your computer, or is it a threat to you?

Don't forget to bring plenty of water: 2.6 days to get there is already too close to "the law of 3s", and then there's however long it takes to come back up.

Do you really understand your computer, or is it a threat to you?

    That depends: if you make more compartments in the original 4..635-minute interval, a = 2 * t ^ (-1/3) b = 1.005 - t (-1/2) where t is the compartment's half-time (it may work to ZH-L12's 2.65 min too, I haven't looked). This is the "A" set that was later empirically found to be a bit too...

Do you really understand your computer, or is it a threat to you?

🤷 #60 says it counts twice as many tissues and therefore feels safer

One thing about ZH-L is that you can make up your own half-times, e.g. create ZH-L32 and feel twice safer than you did with ZH-L16.

    Push Notifications

Push notifications: wouldn't it be wonderful if, when you're driving through the city around lunch time, your cellphone would tell you all about today's mouth-watering specials in the restaurant you're about to drive past? That didn't work out because of them pesky regulators and laws, but now...

They are improving your user experience. If you don't feel that way, it's because as a user, you're still too inexperienced to understand what's good for you. Trust the computer, the computer is your friend.

Do you really understand your computer, or is it a threat to you?

Mine came with a card that highlights key functions. Apparently it's entirely unusable to anyone whose idea of a key function is longer NDL, though. It's in the eye of the beholder: you read it on SB that certain brand of computer doesn't "lock you out" and that a good thing, you buy one of...
