Red rock shrimp and urchin

A group of Red rock shrimp (aka Peppermint or cleaner shrimp) inhabit a crevice on a reef at about 40' deep. The spines of a crowned sea urchin serve as protection, and a curious blue-band goby peeks in on the right. Photo taken at Casino Point, Avalon, CA, Dec. 2004.
