This is an amazing pic - great composition! Just a suggestion, but on a simple photo program, I think it would look even better, if you took the gamma correction down a little (saturation) increased the contrast and pushed up the reds and the greens, to bring out the pink tounge and green in the grass. I just tried this myself and it looked pretty awsome with your picture. Have a go. ;-)
Thanks, I can try that. This is actually not a digital picture, it is a pretty bad scan of my film work. The original is much richer... The really funny thing about this photo is that as I was snapping it, my daughter was zooming in with video on this guy when he roared... and jumped out a little... her shriek is on the video and it is priceless
