Hi Janet, I should have been more specific. I shoot everything digital now but as of yet I am not satisfied with how digital cameras deal with the sun in or near the borders of the frame. I have been able get some shots with similar DOF using the old Nikon 16 mm, but the sunburst gets washed out. I would like to try using a ND filter. but I have not been able to find one with the bayonet mount the Nikon 16 mm uses. At least the new 10.5 mm uses gel filters.
Hey Chris superb shot! You say you shoot digital now and I was wondering if you're shooting in RAW mode? I read an article comparing the differences in how cameras and RAW coverters perceive sunbursts/sunballs and how shooting a jpeg for these shots may actually get better results. Thanks in advance for any comments!
