This site is known as Balankanche Park. The land owner was using the area for quarrying limestone for construction purposes in Tulum. The machines accidentally broke into a 200 mt section of Sistema Sac Actun or located 6,000 ft downstream from the popular Cenote Nohoch Nah Chich.
