I was bitten by one of these gems in Papua New Guinea. Apparently the invisible cone-shaped water column above a tiny patch of sand was hers. I screamed underwater all the while my husband was laughing. All I could think of was, 'I'm bleeding in the water and the sharks will soon be here...'. Brings back fond memories.
