C-O turbot

A C-O turbot (Pleuronichthys coenosus) skims the sandy bottom at about 65'. Closely related to the halibut, it's name is derived from the "C" and "O" shaped markings on its tail. Photo taken at Casino Point, Avalon, CA, August 2004.
